Any image on nostr.build if prefixed with /thumb/ in the path will give you small optimized version. Has been available for more than two years
Absolutely. This is a great example of something a user shouldn't have to think about. However, the problem is slightly more complicated for decentralized things like clients. Who sets the compression/size standard? Will my pic look the same across clients?
Either way, having no limits and just loading full file sizes for tiny profile pics is goofy.

A friend of mine is his hiring for an AI web developer role at their marketing business. The role is full time, building one or more AI powered tools for internal productivity. They're focusing heavy on integrating AI into basically everything they do as well as automation.
- Full time
- Fully remote (not async, you'll probably be expected to clock in and out)
- Prefer "full stack" nodejs/typescript experience, React is a plus but not required
- Experience with cloud-based LLM apis and workflows
- Experience building chat-based apps is a plus but probably not required.
It's a small business with no experience in development, so you'll be expected to be product driven, in exchange you'll have freedom of choice, in technology they just want stuff to get done, they don't care what's under the hood. You'll be "the tech guy" on staff.
