I just got an email by a client from the UK. In his signature there was a proud statement that company X is now carbon neutral and that they plant 11 trees for every 10 they use. True. With chrome similar as with Android I have more fear, that Google is willing to develop users into vendor lock-ins.
So for me there is kind of the question for me: Do I trust more into Google or Mozilla, to develop usercentric software.
And I personally tend more towards Mozilla in this question. Since they offer very easy tinkering through userscripts with their browser.
Almost all settings can be disabled through a userscript. I use Arkenfox userscript to change Firefoxs configuration.
This is something chromium is not offering in a similar way.
Also Firefox seems to offer more privacy-focus than chromium does it out of the box.
