Where did I ever say Nostr was even the least bit polished? That’s not remotely why I came here. I created my keys using that abandoned dumpster fire called astral.ninja. Now I’m actively building a client that is leveling up the UX, even if the architecture is, as you accurately state, hacked together. Maybe claiming to have a “better Nostr” isn’t the selling point you think it is.
The problem as always, is that while you preach about the superiority of your technology, your delivery is a tone deaf muddle of ego and insults.
Why would anyone who is not already in the John Carvalho Fan Club want to join a small internet chat room where you are one of the handful of people to talk to, regardless of how awesome its architecture is?
If your goal is to achieve network effect, you need something that can spread on its own. That’s hard to achieve, and it works better when people feel inspired and excited by something new they’ve discovered.

Today we have our monthly meeting. A lawyer is giving a presentation on applying for the eqip grant for hobby farms and market gardens to get funding for projects like hoop gardens and green houses. We'll have a time banking social after so people can help each other make projects happen.
There's 10 people RSVP'd. We'll see how many come. It's always random how many people show. And I couldn't pull myself together enough to pass out flyers so 🤷♀️
There's a fair amount I've planned for the group this summer. Earlier in this process I had more fire towards marketing but honestly I'm getting tired. I'm going to let it coast a bit, other people can market things if they see value in it.
I need to retrench with my personal life. Moving takes time. Building community takes time. Feeling at home takes time. You can hasten these processes only so much with explosive energy but that's not sustainable.
Honestly at this point I just feel tired and sad. I know this type of dark mood will pass with some rest. I'm trying to be gentle with myself today 🫂
