Kind of. The problem I think they'll have, even with things like Bitcoin, is that amounts of that size will make it pretty difficult for them to live on this planet. So maybe it's gone if they lose the key, but maybe not if they just want to use the funds. It would be pretty hard to hide that amount of value. A state might be able to manage the fallout but that would be some wild political pressure all around. Will someone try? Probably. I just don't think it'll be to their gain. And the downsides will probably be large enough that they give it back.
Just my speculation. Who knows. Would sink our bags either way.
