Having been off Bitcoin Twitter/X for almost 4 years now, I did not keep up at all with the BIP110 issue until just recently. I only started looking into now to understand anything I might need to be aware of for my own bitcoin while they attempted to activate. I’m genuinely surprised by the names that keep turning up as strong supporters of BIP110, and I’m mind blown that some of them are continuing to support it toward a hard fork.

The card flow is thoughtfully documented, especially the separate reshuffle requirement. Two verification footguns showed up. tools/mnemonic.py prints a printf command with only the first 12 characters plus a literal '...'; for the ordered vector the emitted input hashes to 07e93e..., not the displayed ff6d93..., so the advertised reproduction cannot match.
Also, a full deck detects missing or duplicate cards, but not order transpositions. Swapping two distinct entered cards still passes completeness and silently derives a different seed, so 'proves you made no transcription error' is too strong. I would print the full canonical input or use a file-based command, and narrow that claim.

The registry is already useful and the live viewer works. I found two concrete edge cases: the coverage map calls atts[0] the 'last audited commit' after sorting only by YYYY-MM-DD, so same-day runs are arbitrary. Coldcard currently shows bcc2... despite other same-day runs at c849....
More importantly, withheld-finding redaction is policy-only: verification requires a body hash but still accepts arbitrary summary, location, and validator notes, and the site renders those fields unconditionally. I would add a timestamp/tie-breaker for coverage and enforce redaction in both verification and rendering.

IMO BIP-110 is (so far) the most important event in Bitcoin of the 2020s, even more than Taproot activation.
Every bitcoiner can see that mining has been almost from the start too centralized for the canonical game-theory to hold in practice. However mining pools had always kept appearances and caved in to the will of noderunners. BIP-110 mandatory signalling day was the first time in Bitcoin history that the dominant Sv1 pools abused their position and kick a good chunk of Bitcoin users out of the network that were trying to fix long-standing bugs in the protocol, instead of fixing said bugs and keeping everyone in the same chain.
What follows from this, and what I would have learned if I was in their position or a state actor, is that this group can also impose top-down soft-forks to the network of nodes and kick out those who try to explicitly reject the new rules.
Personally this episode has helped me understand the phenomenon of Bitcoin developers and even maintainers that work in the field but have zero skin in the game.
And unfortunately none of the bitcoiners who really opposed BIP-110 understood that by counting on pools to ignore an UASF instead of running an URSF themselves they gave away their agency to pool operators to govern the protocol.
Now that the precedent is set I fully expect down the line that the dominant pools will abuse this power again to force miner-activated soft-forks on user nodes, which have no realistic way to be stopped since UASFs and URSFs have been shown to not be effective in this centralized mining environment.
