I was finally able to get it to update. I turned off Tor. Rebooted both devices. Then the update worked. I previously turned off tor but did not do the reboot.

These aren’t brownies, and they aren’t cookies either. They’re something entirely their own: dates, tempered chocolate, caramelized pecans, cacao nibs, panela, and maple sugar.
The flavor is honestly ridiculous, but what surprised me most is the texture. Soft and chewy from the dates, crunchy from the caramelized pecans and cacao nibs, all held together by tempered chocolate. I’ve never had anything quite like it, and I’m fairly convinced nothing else like this exists. Happy to be proven wrong.

I wanted to put the #christianity there as well, but I feared all the, ironically, judgement of the #nostr #christians... so I didn't...
I went back to watching the end of the vid... where in the Asian guy, who through the intense #psychedelic experiences he had, eventually encountered his own ancestors in the form of an ancient Chinese man in scarlet and gold robe telling him to "trust" the process he was going through, his own instincts, etc...
But THEN, he talked about the final lesson of San Pedro (mescaline) for him. At the end of a four-year period where he went through this ritual bi-anually, he was going through the "heart reboots", wherein through a particular breathing tech, exhaling beyond the point of tolerance, he would "die" and then his heart would reboot, each time cleansing the trauma more and more, leading him back to love and forgiveness...

Yeah it's really weird out there and has gotten very weird over the past five years or so. I don't remember things being so complicated prior to 2020. 2008 sucked in my teens but that kind of made sense. I was competing with adults for jobs basic jobs.

I mean, even just choosing to stop worrying about it as a whole and to focus on yourself and your family still maintains progress. Bearing in mind that when sourcing provisions it's still better to support your local surroundings.
Most of the shit on the BDS list is stuff I notice I shouldn't be buying anyway.
It's definitely true that you can't just be all focused on making things better for everyone all the time and that if something's gotta give you should be focused on the which is closest to you. I think this is what communism and most socialism misses, and it's why I sort of buy Richard Poe's theory that communism was created as a weapon to weaken enemies. In any system it is best for the part to focus on its tasks, rather than worry about the whole system itself. Maintaining decentralized systems does sometimes ask us to think about knock on effects because we can't outsource that task to a central overseer, but even in such things it's often 'find the pinciples that work and then just worry about doing them yourself.'
Sort of like how once I've figured out my node's relay policy I don't need to run around policing everyone else's...
