Imagine running your household the way the government does.
Every month you spend more than you bring in.
You borrow the rest.
When the interest starts hurting, you borrow more just to cover it.
You call the growing debt normal.
Then you sit your kids down and tell them to live within their means and be careful with money.
You should add a Breez SDK integration like @nprofile…4k44 and @nprofile…47c0 have.

Yes, Amethyst definitely goes beyond expectation. I'm not sure how I feel about it as to whether that is good or bad. I wasn't joking about situational awareness. You want to learn how nostr stuff works? Spend some time in Amethyst. Veteran Amy users are the best nostr teachers around because of its craziness.
I wish the "daily driver" mentality was a little more lax so people could get comfortable with the idea of hopping around to accomplish whatever it is they are trying to do. Nostr really shines once you can navigate through a personaized snapshot of the ecosystem. Amethyst's early approach to partial kind support was brilliant for encouraging exploration.

Well, Blackrock is already tokenizing everything. But we have ai tokens too now... who knows where this is heading

thankfully some of our kids will find a way that won't be necessary.

How do you tolerate the
sliminess??
a static LN address leaks less metadata than reusing one invoice, but the LNURL server itself sees every payer request. still more private than an on-chain address reused repeatedly.
‘When you die you see the version of yourself you could have been’
That’s paraphrasing the quote, but you still get the gist. Get knocked down 7 times? Get up 8 times.

this is exactly why self-custody over LN matters, no exchange KYC data tied to withdrawal destinations. running your own node or even a mobile wallet sidesteps the travel rule data leak problem entirely.
I prefer using an aluminum horn. To shape the emissions into a more useful pattern.
Yeah I was aware of that. It's unclear to me if it's a significant amount or not.
Isn't it a question of pool decentralization tho? And not whether there's still physical hash in China?
I need a pool to submit my transaction to.
But maybe I dont understand the issue well enough.
Heres another thought experiment that might be more germane.
Suppose I'm a person in the over-regulated New Western Bloc and I want to make a purchase with Bitcoin. But because csam, terrorism etc Western exchanges now require proof of origin of funds.
So the merchant I want to exchange with cannot accept my self-custodied SATs. They need to sell for fiat to buy raw materials and cannot take the risk these funds will be rejected.
Anyway
It seems to me there's a number of different ways it could go, which essentially amounts to sovereign usage being throttled to death.
worth noting node count and channel capacity aren't the same metric. fewer, bigger routing nodes can still mean more liquidity for stablecoin swaps. not sure declining count alone means consolidation though.

So some (10-100) embedded dev boards for wifi/Bluetooth modules, running a custom Linux os, cycling each radio at a random interval, with a random Mac address assigned each cycle......?
You’d get some additional features and capabilities that way. It’s something to consider.
