Damus has better search results than Primal, and Amethyst.
Wisp as I recall is decent.
But Damus lacks the tools that Primal has.
Damus has better backend, Primal has better frontend.
I say Protonmail beats Google at email, and Brave competes with Chrome but Google search, and YouTube are still solid products.
And this is someone who’s privacy focused, and have been using privacy focused alternatives but the problem is most search alternatives are just proxies to access google’s, or Bing indexes, and don’t actually compete against Google but are just privacy focused Frontends.
Then there’s YouTube, they have a lock hold on that, even TikTok doesn’t come close.
Whoever finds a way to compete against YouTube will make billions of dollars.
Ironically the Ai has been providing better results than conventional search until they sabotage that too.
