Raw private key as a QR code. Edge is one of the few wallets that can sweep a private key from scanning a QR code. Most only have shitty seed phrase import.
Yeah there was no BIP-39 back then. Just raw dogging private keys.

There's a guy somewhere with a plain old USB stick in his gun safe safe with a wallet.dat from 2011 on it that contains $100,000,000 worth Bitcoin and he's never touched it or told a soul.

Why don't you just run wireguard on your own. It isn't like you lack the technical skills that Tailscale is supposed to make easier.

If they want to press charges they need to present evidence.
You can see the individual pull requests for how many people have worked on the app and that there's people discussing what to do. There's people involved in every step or the development testing for quality. Here's the largest:
https://github.com/GrapheneOS/Messaging/pull/109
The leading apps dev has around a decade and a half of experience in developing on the Android platform alone. His contributions so far have been incredible.
We have a broad access to many LLMs for security testing, including cyber-enabled models for dual-use. It's not actually writing the code of GrapheneOS much. It would be poor to willingly dumb ourselves down when companies such as Cellebrite are devoting teams to creating AI tooling to reverse engineer mobile devices to try and exploit them.
Tailscale client is opensource and basically is ok. Now there is also an opensource serwer for tailscale which coordinates the connections.
But.
There is a lot of other solutions like Nebula where you can host all the parts of it yourself. Links:
https://github.com/juanfont/headscale
https://github.com/slackhq/nebula
https://github.com/HyNetworks/hysteria
All those have nat punching capabilities for a direct mesh. Some better some worse.
There is more such solutions, some more raw some more ready to use
Yes but if you consider that old content is generally still hosted by people who wrote it or recently consumed it, it's fine. The original author is a node, sharing that content, as are other nodes.
No relay is offering anything close to permanent storage, and certainly not for free.
Making every use a relay for content storage/sharing would instantly and massively improve the storage capacity of the nostr network. And remember at least for text notes even an android phone can store millions of them. Wikipedia fits on a DVD.
We haven't released these in other app stores yet but eventually this could be done when they're more of a standout app. For the messaging app where we plan to use RCS support this might only work as intended on GrapheneOS, so need to see how we approach it first.
I've just been doing it trough the opencode web app, when on my phone. This does looks better.
I just reacted to this. Then I checked out some conversations on youtube about omarchy, checked the doctrine and the link you shared.
And I think in the end it seems to me, that socially not so capable people can be damn genius in building good technical solutions.
These are diferent dimensions.
And I want to look at Omarchy for the goals it stands for. In the end apple does not base its popularity for social traits of the CEO. It is an opinionated predefined system, that offers productivity through making most decisions for the user.
Fritz Haber also foun a way to produce ammonia in a synthetic way, which results in a agricultural revolution and the end of a lot of hunger in the world. And he was called the father of chemical warfare. He created them for the german military in the first worldwar.
In my view, the process on how to cynthesize is still great. Not matter what his opinions and works are besides it.
And the same way Omarchy can be great, while its owner is not to be idealized in other traits. And I think this is also what the freedom in Linux stands for. A war criminal can participate in Linux. And humanrights activists can participate. In linux it is about how well a techvical solution works. Nothing else.
But clearly maby there are communities, where one would not like to participate in.
Electricity is too expensive in the UK to train any AI
That's a lot of words to say cocaine
Idea for nostr: relays should ONLY store a list of event IDs so you can query a list of the users most recent posts.
Storage of the posts themselves should be pushed to a p2p content-addressed storage backend like freenet, tahoe-lafs, dht (BitTorrent) or similar. You request a note? You are now serving that note to others. Every client becomes a relay.
Since everything is signed by a key there's no risk of impersonation. The nostr relay solves the issue of "what are this person's most recent posts" without having to deal with the storage and headaches that come from actually storing the posts themselves.
This also solves a number of privacy concerns that come from relays being the centralized place people fetch content from. It also solves the blossom/media storage problem.
