The same has been said about every information technology back to at least moveable type. The people who own the press will get to decide what everyone reads and learns. If there is 1 or 2 sources with aligned incentives that is true. As the hardware and models become more available more people will get to run their own. Now who can print? Nearly everyone.
Already nation states in conflict have competing models aligned to their desired population knowledge. I can easily switch between an American model and a Chinese model and even have them critique each others responses.
It is like a large flat blade screwdriver. If you are only using it to turn screws you are missing out. Doesn't matter what they designed it to do, use it in the way that serves you.
Then Milwaukee comes along and designs a version of a large flat-head screwdriver around the other uses instead of screws. I bought for myself and as gifts for others, more than I ever bought those designed around the manufacturers intended use of turning screws. The better product is outselling the one that tries to tell you how to use it.
In the same way Luddites wanted to ban or control every technology before, especially those that educate people. It isn't the fault of books that some control freak took over a printing press and printed only knowledge they approved of. It doesn't change that the concept of the press is out there and that toothpaste will never go back in the tube. Others will run different presses and share different information.
How have I ceded my authority to AI by telling it what I know about Zen and how I've studied in the past and asking it for the right material for me to study next? Then I go an read the book with an idea where it fits into the broader knowledge base I already have, how is that ceding to AI? I also cross check multiple AI models against each other and I see for myself which ones best align with my knowledge from primary sources.
You may be interested to know I have 17 years experience developing log in with LinkedIn nostr applications. I know it is 3 years short of what the job description asked for but I decided to apply anyway.
That is up to you. Have you read The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson? It's real now. An educator who can meet you where you are in terms of knowledge and teach you anything, but small and light enough to carry in your pocket all day every day.

Every tool can be used or misused. I think that the benefit of correct use will drive out incorrect use the same way a shopkeeper who thinks 2+2=3 will be out of business quickly.
My point isn't that AI can give a friend who needs it a hug and really mean it.
My point is that even with that massive advantage, many of us are still losing the fight. All of the AI psychosis research I've seen makes it clear that people become obsessed because AI is programmed to be kind and helpful. If that was enough to suck those people in that means that no human in their lived experience meets the bar of a machine faking kind and helpful words.
Why does kindess and helpfulness of humans never get brought up when people talk about AI competing with humans? For some of you the AI has already left you far behind.
Remember that at job interviews it is consistently shown that social fit at the company is chosen over technical fit for the role.
How many on nostr are qualified to answer this question? For sure not me but I answered anyway.

Agree. Which is why my camera roll is full of technical documentation instead of "normal" pictures.
But if my phone is away I'm not taking pictures to later end up in my gallery memories.

By using amber I put my nsec into only amber. If I want to use 5 clients today I still put my nsec into only amber.
The issue isn't putting it into wisp, it is that not using a signer means I need to put it more places. Each additional place is a new risk.

I just think if you want to claim to be all about V4V the model doesn't allow you to set prices. Any amount is up to the person who chose to donate and whatever number they picked for whatever reason is their business. If the totals are too low for you to be happy with, you need to make better content.
Of course pointing out the git gud angle of V4V was not well received.
