I get it. I totally get it. It is kind of insane. But consider for a second the alternative.

[young laan] And you're saying that if I peek into the box, I can't see this superposition of the cat, because somehow as soon as I peek, every atom knows I am peeking and this superposition goes away, and the cat becomes either dead or alive.

[young laan] Well how do we know that this superposition even exists if we can't ever see it.

[young laan] If a frog looks, does the cat collapse into dead or alive states? A mosquito? A virus? If we put a camera in there, and have it take a picture, do the atoms of the film show a dead or alive cat.
[professor] If you put a camera in there, then it becomes "engangled" with the cat and it also becomes a superposition of states.
[young laan] And so there is no way to observe a "superposition", or even ask questions about it. It is fundamentally unknowable?
[professor] Correct.

So imagine my relief when I discovered the "many worlds" explanation. In some universes the radioactive atom decays, and in those universes the cat is dead, and in the other universes the cat is alive.
Yeah, that is extremely unintuitive, but at least we are allowed to think again. I can understand a universe with a dead cat, and a universe with an alive cat. Things aren't changing because I look their way. There are not "forbidden questions" in this explanation. It's not religion, it is science again.
In science we don't (or at least shouldn't) judge explanations by themselves. We are always comparing them. Which is the better of the explanations that we have? We go with the best one, and "There are many universes out there" is the best explanation we have.
P.S. Einstein intuited that superposition was bullshit as well.

After my recent troubles, I can relate 😂 Luckily, I found out that what my Dr reckons I've got can be diagnosed with a scan - I know this, because my mate's just been through it all. Therefore, no finger in bum time for the quack. No sir.
I've just rechecked once again—it appears they no longer make clearnet requests. Probably they fixed something.
It's good if it will keep working with the `OnionTrafficOnly` and `NoDNSRequest` isolation flags. Anyway I don't recommend anyone use Proton without these flags enabled.

I think most people concerned with monetary inflation don't realize how little most people care about monetary inflation. What they care about is consumer price inflation (the cost of butter, gasoline, meat) and asset price inflation (the cost of housing, mostly, as people need homes to live in).
Consumer price inflation and asset price inflation can be accelerated by monetary price inflation, but the normies are right to associate the sudden, disturbing jumps and falls in prices to supply/demand shocks, and _not_ to overall monetary inflation. That is why central banks fiddling with interest rates has no effect on the price of gasoline at the station; that price is taxes, fees, fracking licenses, and supply interruptions, not the national debt or the interest on 10-year bunds.

Besides when I work on nostr, I don’t work on nostr because it’s the most technically stubborn and difficult to get to work correctly thing I’ve worked on.
Everything else just works. But the distributed nature of nostr makes it difficult to work with.
Yes, you can vibe an app in a prompt. But if you want something to work reliably, nostr always puts up a fight. In some ways it’s the opposite of what it promises.
Even the so called pro devs here cannot make something truly reliable. The moment I test it a bunch of stuff doesn’t work. And the typical response is: oh well you gotta turn this knob, pull that lever twice and then say a prayer while clapping turned away from the full moon.
But other than that it works when it works 😂
