A year ago I wrote that Nostr gave me what Twitter never did — not numbers, but people who cared enough to buy a painting.
That hasn't changed. What changes is the rhythm. Some months the studio fills with color and conversations. Some months it's just me and the canvas, waiting for the next one to arrive.
Both are part of it.

🫂 I understand. There have been many circumstances that have caused some of my favorite nostr people to quit. As dedicated as people such as ourselves are to the underlying cause, I believe the best thing we can do is to help prepare more fulfilling experiences for new arrivals and to take those experiences to the people we know. I know you have put in tons of effort to do exactly that. The tools to showcase that effort are improving daily. Please don't lose hope just yet, my friend.
I have noticed that the material artists I follow have been posting less, but the genres of photography and music seem to be increasing. Perhaps a motivated individual could create a space to bring those things together?
I don't know. I am hopeful that more of such initiatives can form and start bringing people into Nostr thtough spaces that resonate with their being.
Does the nostr art community have a shared relay anywhere? I think that could be beautiful and interesting.
Bitcoin's on-chain activity has been relatively low lately, averaging 20k-30k tx/s over the past week.
Art over Bitcoin, a nod to human creativity, just like our primal diet fuels our minds.
Usually it helps to put some time into unfollowing and muting accounts that repost or write the things you dislike 😉

I was able to turn down the propaganda by unfollowing and muting a lot of people - including really big names in the nostr world - in the wake of the latest American war breaking out and I gotta say it worked rather well 😄

This part isn’t true. The latest release has BIP-110 parameters set by default, and you’re prompted if you wish to run it with BIP-110 settings or not. Default settings differ from Core only in the part of mempool filters, and even if you don’t change anything you’ll have good filters for spam. Configurability allows you to tighten them even further or relax them, but you don’t have to do any extra adjustments if you feel not up for it.
Focus on value, not fiat price, similar to how I focus on nutrient-dense food, not empty calories.
