Yeah we all take on a personal risk in everything we do, as it is with everything in life.
But generally, when someone close to us gets hit with some type of significant unforeseen life changing event (severe sickness or disease, natural disaster, depression, debilitating accident, victim of crime or negligence, etc) you’d like to think the community would rally behind and at least help them get back on their feet.
2026 has been a really fucked up year. I know a lot of people personally who are struggling with loss, tragedy, and adversity, myself included.

Some people want to freak out, and attack Odell, others want to protect him.
For me, it doesn’t make any difference, he’s done good work in the past but unfortunately since he’s an influential person that controls a significant flow of Bitcoin funds parasites are always going to find ways to attach themselves to him regardless of what he does, and unfortunately he can’t really do much to call these people out since he has to he has to have tact in order to keep everything operating.
I hope after this the vetting, and transparency process for his organization improves though.
