Bitcoin resolves forks by following the longest chain (the one with most proof of work). The no-change fork has already won out. The bip110 fork is dead
Someone let me play with their @npub17ty…3mgl and it was easy for a muppet like me to do, if someone hooked it up first, which I could prolly figure out with enough time.

The show started a couple hours ago and ended an hour ago. Bip110 is over
If you only have $1 dollar you value that dollar more than if you had $2 dollars.
Monero is designed to be valuable enough as a currency.
If it was too valuable it won’t circulate like gold, if it wasn’t valuable at all it would be used like Zimbabwean Dollars.
The point is to keep the currency aspects functional, without it people would pay higher network fees to transact on a currency that continues to increase in value.
It keeps Monero affordable.
I haven’t followed it closely but they sound like conmen playing to their audience.

Bitcoiners when they see other Bitcoiners in Monero circles.

BIP 91 was a miner-coordinated mechanism that activated SegWit on Bitcoin in August 2017 by signaling support (90% hash power) to prevent a chain split with BIP-148 (UASF), though it did not directly activate SegWit itself.

No, the Blocksize wars proved that UASFs SHOULD be respected absent a URSF by miners or the Reorg threat would be very detrimental to miners. (BTW there was already PoW code written if the Segwit UASF failed).
The whole reason Miners started running BIP91 was because most of their blocks were being rejected. And the MASF failed at less than the 95% threshold.
Roughly 20,000 but there's a bunch of reasons node count is hard to determine.

I was out all day today, sorry I missed the show about nothing.

Use Monero until all The issues with Bitcoin(s) are fixed.
It was a terrible mistake

That took a sweet turn. Was a little nervous for a second
I don't really know what's going on, but I feel like this somehow applies (a little)

I feel like you are misconstruing my point on purpose. Miners rejected the BIP110, not core nodes. In my previous analogy are you under the impression that even a 1% UASF SUPPORTED BY MINERS would fail like BIP 110? Or would running non-URSF be sufficient to reject?

I'm sure. I'm not smart enough to have really understood it all but everytime I asked questions I was not answered in good faith so I was always skeptical
That's what the whole drama was about. Bip110 people wanted to change the consensus rules. They started mining blocks that enforce the new rules today.
They have a small portion of the hash rate and thus the shorter chain. Bitcoin as-is continues unaffected. There have been many forks like this in the past (bch, bsv, etc)

Blackrock can 🥳!
They control majority of the fiat ramps, the developers, and most of the nodes, and miners.

“I think that’s it. We are forked. I don’t want to call it too early but I think we are definitely two chains from here on out.”

Everyone be good little pedophiles and use your KYC Blockstream coin.
It's not proven now either.
Its just enough evidence for you personally.
Some of us have had enough evidence for years.
But hope still springs eternal.
Ocean lets their miners build their own templates. Some miners in the pool enforce bip110 and some don't
