Why do we take time to worship Him on this day?
Because the tomb is empty. Because death lost. Because everything changed when He walked out on the third day.
We don't worship because we have to. We worship because we get to. We worship because apart from Him we are nothing, but in Him we have everything.
This week will try to tell you otherwise. Your circumstances will scream that God has forgotten you. But Sunday reminds us that the God who raised Christ from the dead is the same God holding your life right now.
You don't need to have your act together to worship. You just need to show up. Broken, tired, distracted, doubting. Show up anyway. He meets us there.
So before the noise of the day takes over, lift your eyes. Remember whose you are. Remember what He has done. Remember that your standing before God rests on Christ alone, not your performance.
Keep walking. He has you. Gm!
