Ни сатана, ни Калигастия никогда не могли коснуться или приблизиться к вере сыновей Божьих; вера – эффективная защита от греха и беззакония. Верно: «Рождённый от Бога хранит себя, и лукавый не прикасается к нему».
В общем, когда предполагается, что слабые и распутные смертные находятся под влиянием дьяволов и демонов, они просто находятся во власти своих собственных врожденных и порочных склонностей, увлекаясь своими собственными природными наклонностями. Дьяволу приписывается большая заслуга за зло, которое ему не принадлежит. Калигастия был сравнительно бессилен после креста Христова.
