In the mainstream, everyone uses Stripe to take people's cards and put money into creator's bank accounts.
Patreon, kofi, itch, buymeacoffee, vgen, you name it, I'll call it a stripe wrapper. (YouTube and twitch may have their own systems iirc)
Accepting fiat means dealing with the regulatory demons, it means compliance questions and people who are very quick to ban anything too 'risky'

If a money can't maintain a value, it's a race to spend it before it has no value, perhaps leading to a very short life as a MoE but definitely not a long term one.
A money having shown it can retain its value, gives spenders the confidence to spend it today tomorrow and in the future.

This is assuming the eCash fork gains traction and adoption. So far the promotion of it has been abysmal. Paul is a great programmer, but an awful salesman.
My feed was full of bip 110 nonsense for six months and I've seen only a handful of posts about drivechains. Most Bitcoin influencers seem to have no awareness about it.
Its launching day one with clones of other chains but if nobody uses it, it's irrelevant.
