Definitely - in His time. I wasted quite a lot of time 'approving' of God but having my OWN plan for 'His plan' for my life.
Please - spare yourself that if you can.
I know how that is for sure. Prayers for your walk brother! Stay in prayer and in the Word every day. IMO - change won't happen from the things you 'DO', it only comes from the inside after learning His Word and being in His presence continually. Took me almost half a century to figure this out lol. Don't be as stubborn as me ;-)
Expose these @nprofile…000c but don't ignore them. Enemy wants us to ignore them.
He who gives an answer before he hears, It is folly and shame to him. -Proverbs 18:13
I used to get upset inside when people spoke ill of God or distorted his Word. But this is only ego. Remember the battle is already won, and people will always be free to decide for themselves (same as you and I). Also, listening is how we identify deception and expose it to others.
Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. -Matthew 10:16
Armor up and God bless!
Supports my little theory that a counterfeit 'christianity' is coming (and was always here) that will gobble up much of the mob, just like Constantine's did.

Well good thing you're building. Extension wallet has been on my to do list also since none exist! But I don't have the time. I had an idea to call it hermes, extension wallet with Zeus functionality for lightning, ecash, liquid and main net all in one extension with swaps between them all built in. That's why it's called Hermes. Greek God of trade and balance. Also a nod to Zeus. But I'll never have time to build it.
There are no good lightning browser extensions either and I almost can't believe that.
Matthew 6:33 - but seek FIRST the Kingdom of God
Matthew 17:21 - the Kingdom is within you
Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man
1 John 1:5 - God is light
Matthew 6:22 - If your eye be single your body will fill with light
Genesis 32:30 - And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
John 14:12 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Humility (Christian)
Humility is seeing ourselves rightly—neither too high nor too low. It's the soil in which gratitude grows. When we're proud, we feel entitled; when we're humble, we receive everything as gift. Humility also lets us learn from others and admit when we're wrong. A grateful heart is a humble heart: it knows that every good gift comes from above and that we are dependent, not self-made.
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."

"Own nothing an be happy" is not Christianity, that's just having a poverty complex. And comparing a nice watch or fancy clothing to a pagan momento is a false equivalence.
As someone who grew up with a fascination of Japan, I ultimately traveled there many times, participated in many Japanese activities, and acquired many momentos.
Festival garments, wishing coins to donate to the Shinto temple, little charms for good luck, etc...
Japan is a secular nation that still practices many annual ceremonies of their Shinto/Zen past. To them, it is inert, but culturally rich. The spiritualism of it has faded with the younger generation. Now people go to enjoy the music, food, and sense of ancient times and culture of their people.
Before I was born again, I viewed this as harmless, and was fascinated with their far eastern way which was so exotic and strange compared with the west, especially Japan which has a wholly individual and unique culture.
Now, as someone being made progressively conformant to the Lord, I understand that these are objects and ceremonies of false religion, and even if I do not treat them as implements of worship, but as mementos, they still dishonor my Lord and must go.
Repent always.

It's amazing how many of these little things are out there. But we underestimate occultists' numbers. They've been there from the beginning, and know they cannot curse real believers. A believer must invite the curse in. Spirits attach to these objects. Keep your armor on out there, and blessings in finding this freedom.

The ultimate game to win, and is very relevant to nostr, is not the win that "beats out the opponent"
The ultimate win, is when whoever identifies as "the other side" realizes there's nothing to beat, and that no one is _trying_ to beat them out.
"You were always welcome to play with us, but you chose to play by yourself. And that's always fine, there's never anything wrong with that if you don't like the rules. You are always welcome play your game with your own rules. But you know, it'd be a more exciting and fun game if we're all playing together."
Always a negotiation of what the conditions are. The negotiation evolves the game, it brings more players. Always some prodding and pushback, competitive banter, but always trying to bring more players, regardless of the alliance.
If it were The Final Game to win, maybe. Maybe you'd push for your side to win, and the other to lose at any and all costs, for the other side's destruction. But At All Cost games reduce and simplify ecosystems, they create monocultures by definition, and reduce robustness.
This isn't The Final Game, with finite outcomes. It's an Infinite game, just as serious. But the purpose is to keep the infinite game continuing, not to win and then end. You can win smaller, semi-high stakes games/tournaments within an infinite game, of course. But they're still in service of the larger game's continuation and evolution, and never as serious.

By all means, don’t go against conscience.
I had to do a little research, but it seems fairly clear to me that totem poles actually function more like iconography than like idols. They don’t seem to “embody” the god/spirit the way an idol does, but they can refer to them pictorially.
But that said, I can clearly tell the difference between, for example, a Hindu idol and a Hindu icon, but I would never keep either one in my house.
"Divine Council"
"Table of Nations"
I'm not familiar with these terms.
Where are they from?
When your conscience is bothering you about a religious object, that’s not something to argue with or rationalize away. That’s the Holy Spirit doing His job. The issue isn’t whether the object is "just a souvenir." The issue is that its tied to false worship and God doesn't want that kind of thing in the home of one of His people.
Idols can be idols even if you don't treat them as an idol. Keeping this in your home as a Christian is indefensible.

Well if you used to pray to them, certainly smash them. But I don’t think they have functioned as idols in a long time. No one I’ve met here in the PNW thinks of them as idols these days. But I could be wrong.
Keeping idols so other Christians don't call me a cage stage Calvinist.
Repent always, I can agree with that. But smashing ornaments seems a little “cage stage Calvinist” to me.

That's not entirely true, either.
People did that.
It's just people at all levels, and humans aren't meant to lord power over other humans coercively, so, even though the US worked well for a while, it got undermined to what it is now because of fear and weakness.
When we put the armor of light we are saints and assuming we continue to keep it on we enter heaven. We can take it off many times by I suppose if we keep putting it on we will finish the race.

Oh, my name, it ain't nothin', my age, it means less
The country I come from is called the Midwest
I's taught and brought up there, the laws to abide
And that the land that I live in has God on its side
Oh, the history books tell it, they tell it so well
The cavalries charged, the Indians fell
The cavalries charged, the Indians died
Oh, the country was young with God on its side
The Spanish-American War had its day
And the Civil War too was soon laid away
And the names of the heroes I was made to memorize
With guns in their hands and God on their side
The First World War, boys, it came and it went
The reason for fightin' I never did get
But I learned to accept it, accept it with pride
For you don't count the dead when God's on your side
The Second World War came to an end
We forgave the Germans, and then we were friends
Though they murdered six million, in the ovens they fried
The Germans now too have God on their side
I learned to hate the Russians all through my whole life
If another war comes, it's them we must fight
To hate them and fear them, to run and to hide
And accept it all bravely with God on my side
But now we've got weapons of chemical dust
If fire them we're forced to, then fire them we must
One push of the button and they shot the world wide
And you never ask questions when God's on your side
Through many dark hour I been thinkin' about this
That Jesus Christ was betrayed by a kiss
But I can't think for you, you'll have to decide
Whether Judas Iscariot had God on his side
So now as I'm leavin', I'm weary as hell
The confusion I'm feelin' ain't no tongue can tell
The words fill my head, and they fall to the floor
That if God's on our side, he'll stop the next war

This statue comemorates Jan Hus, a Bohemian proto-reformer of the 14th century who preached in Czech at Bethlehem Chapel in Prague. This was unheard of during his day, when mass was held only in Latin, which most common men did not understand.
He was burned at the stake in Constance, Germany on July 6th, 1415 because, inspired by John Wycliffe, he wanted the Bible to be available in the language of the people and because he preached against indulgences, and other errors and corruption in the church.
The inscription on the base of the statue says, "For the Truth."

Dude, stop. Claiming "Bitcoin is/was a Cypherpunk thing" fundamentally misunderstands both Bitcoin's architecture and the foundational philosophy of the Cypherpunk movement. Bitcoin was never Cypherpunk, nor could it ever be. Sorry.
Firstly, Bitcoin is not anonymous; it is pseudonymous. Hiding behind a public key is a temporary illusion. Because the blockchain is a permanently immutable, globally accessible public ledger, it requires only one single slip-up -one KYC checkpoint, one IP leak, or one linked real-world identity- to deanonymize an entire history of transactions.
Secondly, a system that permanently records every single input, output, transaction amount, and timestamp for the entire world to see forever is antithetical to privacy. It doesn't protect data; it archives it for future exploitation. Today's advanced chain-analysis firms (like Chainalysis or Elliptic) have turned Bitcoin into a playground for corporate and state surveillance.
Thirdly, beyond the ledger itself, the network layer is highly vulnerable. By analyzing node propagation, IP addresses, and broadcasting device metadata, adversaries can accurately map the geographic locations of node operators and miners down to the second.
As Eric Hughes famously wrote in the Cypherpunk's Manifesto, "Privacy is necessary for an open society in the electronic age... Privacy is the power to selectively reveal oneself to the world." Bitcoin does not allow for selective revelation. It forces universal, eternal exposure. A technology that facilitates absolute financial transparency and predictable behavioral mapping is diametrically opposed to the privacy-centric liberty that the Cypherpunks actually fought for. If you are looking for true Cypherpunk tech, look into zero-knowledge proofs or privacy coins. Bitcoin is just another NFT.

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”
- Ephesians 5:22-33 KJV
Do you even own a Bible?
Jesus loves the church deeply. Ephesians 5:25 says, "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." He sees the church as his bride, sacrifices for her, nourishes and cherishes her, and aims to present her holy and spotless.
On gathering together, Hebrews 10:24-25 puts it plainly: "Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
Jesus himself says in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."
The early church modeled this in Acts 2:42: they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer, meeting daily with glad hearts.
And 1 Corinthians 12 pictures the church as one body with many members: we need each other to function, serve, and minister together. That’s where fellowship, worship, and ministry happen.
I think you are onto something here, because ultimately if bitcoin and Nostr are to be working anywhere, it's in Iran and Gaza.
