Huge congratulations to Spain 🇪🇸 for their World Cup 2026 win last night 🍻🥳🌞⚽️
I'm celebrating for them 🍻
But Argentina...what in the absolute fuck was that behaviour about? Absolute scum. Should be disqualified from the next tournament.
Losers.

📰 **Why Luxury Travelers Are Now Booking Their £50,000 Villas Two Weeks Out**
✍️ by Rome
You believe luxury travel requires months of planning. That the best villas are booked a year in advance. That spontaneity is for budget travelers, not the ultra-wealthy. Well... You are wrong. New data from Oliver's Travels reveals that bookings exceeding £25,000 jumped 33% year-on-year between April and June 2026. And here's the kicker: reservations made within 60 days of departure surged 45%.
But here's what the data doesn't tell you. And it's about to completely redefine how the 1% travel this summer...

📰 **What Happened This Week In The Bitcoin World**
✍️ by NM team
You probably think Bitcoin’s biggest problem right now is the price. It’s not. This week proved the real war isn’t about dollars—it’s about who gets to decide what Bitcoin even *is*. Here’s the number that matters: **0.31% hashpower and 2% node support** for a proposal that just triggered network alerts anyway. Keep reading, because what happened this week suggests the battle over Bitcoin’s soul is just getting started—and your coins might be caught in the crossfire.

not sure he SOLD voluntarily

Advertising bitcoin is reckless, but if you absolutely have to do it just be fair to them. Start with a cautionary message such as it is better to stop talking about bitcoin before you get the basics of how it works and how to stay pseudoanonymous. There are certain things you simply can't undo in the bitcoin space and very few will tell you about those. Sometimes because they are grifters themselves, but most of the times because they haven't thought it through. Thinking from the end is mandatory in the case of bitcoin.
Bitcoin has no need for new users just for the sake of it. It is not a ponzi to require clueless noobs. Bitcoin' success has nothing to do with attracting people to it. People will come when they are ready to escape the chains of the traditional banking and start their personal path to freedom.
Again, it is better to stop talking about bitcoin before you on-board your loved ones. Repeating mistakes over and over is a clear sign of retardation, the bad kind of retardation.
Teach them early what you've learned later in life.

I am thinking about why I use FOSS almost whenever it is available. Even when the performance, usability and notworkeffect are not yet on the level of a commercial competitor.
And the answer is, that this decision depends on more dimensions. Usability, performance and network are all important aspects. But I look at them not as the only aspects.
For me the vector of independence is one big factor. The answer to the question who ultimately controls the tool. And most of the time the answer is, that a tools developers have control over it. Even in FOSS-tools. But with transparent development and free licensing, the developer is in the best effort, to allow participation. It is only a question of personal preference, if one would like to improve a tool towards personal needs.
On privately owned and developed products, one can propose certain behavior. But the effort to enforce a behavior are much bigger. Reverseengineering is needed and sometimes this effort could come even with the risk of legal interventions.
So my decision to use LibreOffice instead of Microsoft Office, Firefox instead of Chromium. They both depend on the fact, that Microsoft Office and Chromium are both driven by private companies. And every idea, that should be implemented into their product, depends completely on the interest of those companies.
So even when the free products might perform a bit lower in something. This performance can be improved. But on the other hand. Whoever uses the Propriatary solution looses the choice to tinker specific behavior, when the owner wants something.
When Microsoft Office pushes its owner towards the cloud, one is met with the question to simply leave or participate in their rules. With free software, forks come accross, when there is strong disagreement with a direction of development. Something that is only possible with transparent development. This is why I prefer FOSS, even when it performs worse, has wors UX or has more issues.
Because those things can be fixed, while the freedom of propriatary software can not be fixed. It is inherently implemented.

In 1963, 250,000 US dollars was worth roughly 1.28 million Swiss francs. This was still under the Bretton Woods gold standard.
Today, 1.28 million Swiss francs is worth about US$1.55 million.
They’re both fiat currencies. The difference is simply the rate at which each has been debased.
I would have been very grateful if someone would have warned me when investing in a property with all the cons and pros…and even more with where not to invest in.
I don’t know if I would have listened to them…but at least I would have had the chance to reflect.
But yeah, pessimism is not a good adviser. I agree ☝🏽
