I also think that a magazine or a blog makes for a better reading experience than a chronological feed in the case of essays, and this preserves the categories and reading order regardless of edits and tags. It doesn’t require any matching hashtags, which are often used to sort articles and impose structure.
Also, it has syndication built in. It’s not limited to one author, and you can include a guest essay in any category, or even include a category that someone else is curating.
India is live testing censorship resistance for us, making the tools more resilient in the long run.

Just seen a friend. She depends on her PC for home shopping, comms, entertainment, etc.
She's gone to log in after switching it on and there's a message, saying her pin is corrupted, "click here to reset your pin".
She clicks the button, Microsoft says "here's the last two digits of your phone number, tell us the last four digits to confirm it's you".
They then say they're going to text her, so she can enter a code and choose a new PIN.
But no text ever comes.
Now, it sounds like a scam, it sounds like her PC has been corrupted and yet, it looks like it's genuine.
And if it's genuine, then she's utterly reliant on Microsoft allowing her access to her PC, which she needs, at any given time.
What an absurd situation.

Private replies might be more reliable than Nostr DMs 🙃.
Idk from a technical standpoint but in a reliability, & consistency standpoint.
I hope the clients work together to implement a more reliable standard for stuff, so clients at worst are just ui, theme, & relay pack differences, & not UX differences.
I get people will want clients that do different things but there shouldn’t be a two tiered Nostr experience where people who only use a certain client get to only enjoy the ecosystem of that client, or if there is, it should be things like muting, or special features like AI, etc. but not the rudimentary Baseline Nostr Experience that should be universal across all client.
If I send a note on client A everyone on clients b, c, d, & e should get to see it (unless there’s like an article paywall NIP/event implemented, besides the point, even if it was paywall, all clients with paywalled notes should show it to other clients with the paywall note feature enabled).
I mean maybe in the future there will client wars with censorship like core vs knots, etc. where the Bluesky, and Reddit Nostr will have The X, and gab Nostr notes censored by default but who knows, even the woke clients should be open source, and forkable so if people like the UI but don’t want the censorship.
