Sure, it's likely that the fees will make the onchain zaps not very used. Unless people decide to send large amounts. Or for people who just absolutely hate lightning I suppose. Silent payments would fix the whole issue though it seems as far as the privacy stuff goes.

The issue is that you can see all activity from that wallet and there is no denying it's your wallet as it's tied and derived from your nostr keys. You can see every transaction for all time... That's a massive privacy issue.
