There was a lot of pushback against a CBDC before they even started creating one, but they realized they don't have to. The stablecoin companies were already building the rails for them. All they have to do is capture them with regulation and give the approved ones a green light into the financial system. In a few years everyone will be holding and spending digital dollars with all of the features of a CBDC without even realizing it and the government will control the regulatory levers to have power over it all.
