Luckily for me, I don’t use Coinbase anymore so that’s how I knew it was fake.

Sad story.
Just yesterday I spent around half an hour talking with a man living on the street.
But he is nit poor. He decided to live on the street around 30 years ago. His only addiction is tabaco.
Therefor he has little to run behind. He sells newspapers, tidies up the surrounding of some houses and buys quality equipment (sleeping bag, hammock, cloth).
He is a minimalist and did never take a pennie of welfare.
He is a free man, reads much, takes care of the social connections he has.
In the time I am talking with him, many come by and interrupt us, in order to buy a newspapter from him. So it is obvious, that he has a good network of people that respect and like him.
I think with this story I want to show, that different people have different goals. We do not have to live the lives others expect from us. We can choose for ourself, as long as our actions are not shortening others freedom.

Might one could extend it in the start with describing what privacy means.
Privacy is the control over personal data. Control to share it with the people and companies one wants to share them and exclude those, one does not want to share it with.
So one does can impossibly be without privacy or have it all. It is a spectrum, that can be improved or decreased. And the more control one has over the personal data as higher is the control.

And he uses all the Bitcoin tools, lightning, liquid, cashu, etc.
He’s super optimistic, and Nostr-istic
Whereas I’m very cynical, and X orientated.
But despite our differences we get along better than almost anyone else because we’re built on the same core principles.

**A Martian Eclipse: Phobos Crosses the Sun**

What's that passing in front of the Sun? It looks like a moon, but it can't be Earth's Moon , because it isn't round. It's the Martian moon Phobos . The featured video was taken from the surface of Mars in 2022 by the Perseverance rover. Phobos , at 11.5 kilometers across, is 150 times smaller than Luna (our moon) in diameter, but also 50 times closer to its parent planet . In fact, Phobos is so close to Mars that it is expected to break up and crash into Mars within the next 50 million years. In the near term, the low orbit of Phobos results in more rapid solar eclipses than seen from Earth . The featured video is shown in real time -- the transit really took about 40 seconds, as shown. The videographer -- the robotic rover Perseverance (Percy) -- continues to explore Jezero Crater on Mars , searching not only for clues to the watery history of the now dry world , but evidence of ancient microbial life .

I respectfully disagree regarding Ethereum, and litecoin but I’m less familiar with their technology.
So I’m not really willing to defend them.
It’s unfortunate that you see other utility coin projects in a poor manner but as long as you’re willing to respect monero for having the same values as og bitcoin then I can respect it.
We’re about freeing the individual from centralized control as well.
Hence why we’re the second biggest community on Nostr.
Personally I’d like to see more being built to reduce conflict between the two communities.
Someone’s preferred monetary system shouldn’t be a problem in all honesty, take the money, and convert it to your preferred payment, or offer market incentives to encourage preferred payments.
That’s how I see it but a lot of people want dogmatic control over money.
Personally, I want multi-coin, and have used different coins but prefer Monero, Bitcoin, and Z-cash but I’m ok with Eth, BCH, LTC, etc.
