Tricky part is you don't have that android secure storage so you'd have to create your own encrypted vault file somewhere in the user's home directory. I made available on my notes app Linux version the option to save an nsec to the OS keyring but with a clear warning that it's not secure. On most distros the key ring stays unlocked after the first user unlock and the contents can be read by any process running as that user.
