On September 11th, 2001 We lost ~3,000 American lives in one of the most brutal terrorist attacks ever recorded in American, and Human History.
We deeply love each one of these souls, and we pray that they’re in peace, and love.
We also pray for their friends, family, and community members, & that those who survived after them that will carry on their legacy.

I remember the MSN ticker saying that a plane had hit. I thought, that can't be good, and assumed it was a small plane. Switched the newsbon, saw that and immediately called my girlfriend, who was at work, watching with her colleagues. The world definitely changed.
I love lightning and zaps, but the best solution for payments on Nostr is the one people will actually use, and in order for people to want to use payments, friction needs to be removed/reduced. I don’t think Monero necessarily fixes it either, because I imagine even fewer people have Monero than those with Bitcoin. But I do know that Bitcoiners by and large have a “hodl only, never-spend” mentality and that is extremely limiting on the network’s economic growth. Nostr needs seamless payments that people will actually use, Bitcoin or otherwise.
Maybe I'm not being totally accurate.
Matt excels in providing convenient, easily digestible packaged sound bites for other maxis. Maybe he isn't exactly an idiot himself, but he treats his audience like they're idiots. He studiously avoids speaking on any kind of nuance or complicated trade-offs that require discernment. Neither will he engage in any sort of public discussion regarding complexity.
He strikes me as completely opportunistic, a legacy fiat guy who found Bitcoin and thinks he's doing the right thing using his platform to manipulate people into following him.
That's just why I don't like him. I could go into why I think his conclusions about Bitcoin are wrong but it's a separate subject.
