Kicking off the weekend by not getting into an argument on the internet. I saw a stupid comment and didn’t have the urge to reply. It’s just as if I never saw it in the first place.
Not that nix controls what you do, but that whoever the admin is can control every nix device he manages.
Your point on moral compass and intentions is well taken but I do believe almost all the arguments and accusations thrown around morality over in bitcoin right now are just strawman arguments as someone else pointed out. Has any of the accusitions been proven beyond circumstantial evidence or assumptions? Normally using morality as a first filter is a sound idea. But in this instance, there is so much noise, it certainly feels like an easy accusation to discredit any and all opinions from the other side.
My point in all of this is yes, we have core vs bip110 right now but both camps are bitcoiners. The world isn't going to agree on any one thing, that's a fact. But the reality of the world today is the bigger war is fiat vs bitcoin. The infighting has to stop.
That explains the price difference more than anything else.
