I think he's probably right on this one. I think in part because of coolant regulations and the design of these particular units. They were known to be kind of shit even 20 years ago when it was installed. The guy who owned the place before wasn't the best on maintenance either. The new owner is phenomenal and actually services things properly. Unfortunately, I think he's gonna be paying for the last guy's negligence. One reason I'm glad I decided not to go into real estate back when I was deciding between Bitcoin and real estate. The headache alone would've killed me by now.
I believe his maintenance crew is contracted across all his properties. I doubt they have incentive to lie but I don't know how that side works. Maybe they do. Everything he's said so far confirms my independent data collection and findings. And he said he was going to troubleshoot anyway to see if it can be saved, but figured it would be a replacement due to parts/coolant availability.
All this word salad to say I'm glad it isn't my problem.
When I wore button down shirts for work, I figured out that if I folded them tightly without wrinkles, I could get away with not ironing them. I could have ironed them, but if I can avoid it I will 😂

I'm torn between it definitely does because landlords never maintain their shit and it definitely doesn't because HVAC techs are too lazy to troubleshoot and get sales commissions now so they think $10k HVAC systems are disposable.
I kind of enjoy it because I'm good at it. I don't have many clothes that require ironing anymore though, so I rarely do it.
Ironing annoyed the hell out of me the last time I did it. It's definitely a skill

The ultimate game to win, and is very relevant to nostr, is not the win that "beats out the opponent"
The ultimate win, is when whoever identifies as "the other side" realizes there's nothing to beat, and that no one is _trying_ to beat them out.
"You were always welcome to play with us, but you chose to play by yourself. And that's always fine, there's never anything wrong with that if you don't like the rules. You are always welcome play your game with your own rules. But you know, it'd be a more exciting and fun game if we're all playing together."
Always a negotiation of what the conditions are. The negotiation evolves the game, it brings more players. Always some prodding and pushback, competitive banter, but always trying to bring more players, regardless of the alliance.
If it were The Final Game to win, maybe. Maybe you'd push for your side to win, and the other to lose at any and all costs, for the other side's destruction. But At All Cost games reduce and simplify ecosystems, they create monocultures by definition, and reduce robustness.
This isn't The Final Game, with finite outcomes. It's an Infinite game, just as serious. But the purpose is to keep the infinite game continuing, not to win and then end. You can win smaller, semi-high stakes games/tournaments within an infinite game, of course. But they're still in service of the larger game's continuation and evolution, and never as serious.
That was my first thought, "I too grew up with this."

This is Antibes. Cap d'Antibes is located between Antibes and Juan-Les-Pins, which I also recommend.
I can imagine turning off the notifications for them if that's what you mean. For someone who gets a ton of notifications especially. Like I probably wouldn't want thousands of those per day.
But add a client Dev address or something. Or if clients just didn't show a zap button for people without an address. I waste a lot of time zapping and getting errors. Multi layered issue.
