多数管理课程会教企业怎样压缩成本、优化流程、计算利润率，却很少追问一个更早的问题：企业为什么要生产这个东西？裴德荣在“奥地利学派经济学在商业中的应用”一讲中，把企业经营重新放回生产、消费、不确定性与人的行动之中。他的结论很直接：经营不是在既定公式里寻找最优解，而是在没有现成答案的市场中判断消费者未来会重视什么。
生产必须先于消费
经济生活的起点不是账面收入，而是生产。自然提供的资源很少能直接满足人的需要，人们必须把土地、劳动、知识和资本品组织起来，经过若干生产阶段，才得到可供消费的财货与服务。
这意味着企业在收到销售收入以前，已经投入时间和资源。它要签合同、找场地、购买设备、雇佣人员、组织流程，却不能事先确定产品会不会受到欢迎。商业活动因此不是对已知需求的机械响应，而是对未来需求的判断。
企业家是市场过程的驱动力。不同企业家会想象不同的产品、生产方式和商业模式，再把资源押在自己的判断上。他们争夺的不是一份已经写好的答案，而是消费者尚未表达出来的认可。
消费者决定价值，成本不能决定售价
演讲用一个简洁关系概括成功经营：
价值＞价格＞成本。
消费者购买产品，是因为他主观上认为产品带来的价值高于支付的价格。企业愿意出售，则是因为售价高于生产成本。一次自愿交易能够成立，正是因为买卖双方都认为自己得到了更有价值的东西。
这也解释了“成本加成定价”的局限。假设一件产品花费80美元制造，企业不能仅凭“我要25%的利润”就断定它应卖100美元。成本是企业自己选择的投入，消费者并没有义务为低效流程买单。价格必须在市场中发现：消费者要么按这个价格购买，要么离开。
正确的顺序不是“先算成本，再加利润”，而是先判断消费者愿意为什么价值付费，再思考用何种投入把它生产出来。昂贵投入并不天然错误，廉价投入也不天然正确。若更好的材料能显著提高消费者价值，选择高成本方案可能更合理；若某项成本没有增加消费者重视的属性，再便宜也可能是浪费。
利润不是加价，而是判断得到验证
利润来自售价与成本之间的差额，但这只是事后的货币表现。生产在时间上先于销售，企业家只能估计未来售价，并据此决定今天可以承担多少成本。只要未来尚未发生，利润就必然不确定。
因此，利润不是企业家随手加在成本上的数字，而是市场对其判断的检验。企业家若比别人更早发现一种有价值的用途，能够用较低代价组织生产，就可能获得利润；判断错误，则要承担亏损。持续亏损会迫使企业缩减、退出或把资源转给判断更有效的人。
从这个角度看，竞争不是静态市场中同类厂商的数量，而是企业家不断试错的过程。新产品、新工艺和新组织形式改变了消费者的选择，也改变了其他企业能够采取的行动。
发起者企业家：创造原本不存在的选项
演讲进一步讨论了米塞斯所说的“发起者企业家”。这种企业家不只是发现现成价差，而是设想一种新的商品、服务或生产装置，并把它变成现实。消费者无法对尚不存在的产品表达需求，企业家必须先生产，市场才能回应。
这种先行行动也会重组资本结构。新的产品设想要求新的设备、技能、供应链与协作关系。成功创新被模仿后，原本特殊的生产方式逐渐普及，市场又在新的基础上继续前进。
商业实践的四个问题
把整场演讲压缩成经营决策，可以归结为四个问题：
第一，消费者试图解决的真实问题是什么？不要从现有产品出发，而要从消费者希望达到的目的出发。
第二，这项价值能支持怎样的价格？价格不是企业的愿望，而是需要在交易中发现的信号。
第三，为了兑现这项价值，应当选择哪些成本？成本控制必须服务于价值创造，不能反过来支配产品。
第四，哪些关键判断仍然不确定？企业应当识别假设、分阶段投入，并让市场反馈尽早检验判断。
奥地利学派经济学并不提供一张万能商业画布。它提供的是更重要的东西：提醒经营者，数字背后始终有人在评价、选择和行动。企业的任务不是把公式算得更漂亮，而是在不确定条件下组织生产，为消费者创造他们愿意用行动认可的价值。

Yes, of course the rational idea/belief is to change your mind when exposed to new information but there’s a fine line to it, it seems.
I get this angsty sort of help I’m being held prisoner vibe from a lot of you, screaming Bitcoin only because you fear another monkey will smack you over the head for it.
But now that I’m being a loud monkey back, a lot of you who were Bitcoin only are becoming more open to Monero.
