I think I'm going to finally bite the bullet and get a four wheel vehicle. My company offers a new American car benefit so it would be only half of whatever the monthly payment is.
I've been renting a car once a month for my events anyways and honestly it would be about the same price.
The scooter's been out of commission from those dang mice and it's really hard to hoof it all around town, and way more expensive to order groceries rather than buying in person.
I just hate cars so I don't wanna. I don't know much about them and feel like I'm going to get taken advantage of when I go buy. I am in full pout mode atm.

I'm continuing to explore Nostr's capabilities to be a YouTube alternative. There are two potential clients that get the job done: "Nostube" and "Plebs". Both are desktop-only clients at the moment. They look nice enough and are easy to navigate. Needless to say that content is still missing.
I do not self-host my videos. This is mainly because we live off-grid in a tiny home with patchy internet connection. I want to change that soonest. But since this will be the default for many new people coming to Nostr, it's nice to see how this can work. My Nostr webspace is running on Primal and Nostr.Build subscription. There's lots of room to optimize this with the relay management etc. ... but I didn't have to energy to look into it further. It works for now.
I do like the uploader and navigation on "Plebs", but for some reason it gave me an error when loading my latest 16-minute video. So, I tried "Nostube" which had no problem with it. "Nostube" also shows all my uploaded videos in a nicely organized fashion. "Plebs" on the other hand is a bit selfish and only shows videos I uploaded with "Plebs". I also cannot find Nostr profiles for "Plebs" nor "Nostube". If you do, please share!
So, as usual, Nostr gives you these mild headaches when you just want to get your things done ... and you stumble upon all this little weirdness that steals your time. BUT after all, it kinda works and I was able to share on the legacy socials that my video is also available on Nostr 🤙🏼

I just got home from dancing for three and a half hours. It started with old-school reggae/roots/dub, and some custom vocals. That transitioned to bass music, with a feminine flair. Then we finished off with some heavy house.
I feel sorry for the venue and the DJs, as hardly anyone showed up, but I loved having plenty of room on the dance floor to move some energy. It's been too long since I've been out dancing, and I feel invigorated and inspired. I may be sweaty, but my aura is clean!

As we move towards May 22nd, the 16th anniversary of Bitcoin pizza day, it is worth understanding why it was such an incredible milestone and what it kicked off. Learn what must be done if we are not to let Lazlo's sacrifice be in vain.
Lazlos transaction was the first real monetary spend of Bitcoin. Before it was an established store of value, this was the first attempt at making it a medium of exchange. He proved it was possible.
Money requires velocity to be money. But Gresham's law says bad money drives out good. You want to hodl good money and are less incentivised to spend good money. Without spending, there is little to no velicity. If the money you're hodling is not already widely accepted, then it won't be widely transacted. And if it is not widely transacted, it fails as money as the velocity trends to zero. Over the long term, it is exposed to capture and can easily lose its ability to function even as a store of value. Becoming also a medium exchange hardens bitcoin by giving it two globally accepted use cases so it cannot be as easily captured. This is a more perfect monetary, until now, never discovered by man until now.
On May 22nd, I urge everyone to buy something with Bitcoin. Remember that we need both Store of Value and Medium if Exchange if we want to see hyperbitcoinization. Hodl is great but we are early and the revolution requires sacrifice from each of us.
