fiat+bank = accountability shifted from individual to institutions with crowd funded insurance, with unnoticeable traded-off sovereignty depreciation.
bitcoin + self-custody = you build the bank, security and insurance yourself. people are not doing that simply because their time has to be spent building their own way of living other than building their own bank with no money to put into.
I personally will choose the later thb, but let's be honest, it's still a Utopias. brighter side is, the former is bringing uprisings and chaos, not necessarily in a dramatic way but in way, frog in the water way. Maybe humans will start self host some hard assets after the majority of the countries in the world went thru the pains of Argentina/El Salvador, idk, hard to say.
