As someone who started
out with MSDOS,went on from there,started in the mid 90s using Linux and Free/OpenBSD and having studied network administration and delved into current tech and privacy issues,very few people realize how bad it is and importance of dumping big tech for privacy phones and preferably a Linux-libre OS.

Trying to think of a variant of Silent Payments, perhaps involving a second scan key (i.e. three keys in total), where holders of one scan private key are able to find all UTXOs spendable by you, *but they'll also find a lot of false positives*
The motivation is to allow clients that are still quite light (they don't need to scan *every* transaction on chain) by transferring much of the work to a third party such that the third party still doesn't learn my transaction history

Nope, not alone. Anyone with a clue is flabbergasted.
When we complained, @npub1q3s…d26p sent Bitcoin to these wallets we didn't ask for. Taunting us to move it. Using trapped money to troll people sort of tells you something significant about that person's character and about how awful this entire scheme is, but okay.
I guess we can all pick a charity to donate to, or something.
