The primarily problems are the vested interests adhering to the outlines of pitch decks when the implementations are obvious failures, and premature ossification of the base layer. Bringing antifa, fascism, or whatever, adding this kind of emotional escalation to these issues, is completely harmful.
Relying on specific project management tools from Github, trying to find alternatives but it's hard to make them priority.
Also as stupid as it may sound Github stars are an important adoption metric for a product, but I know one can publish to both.
