I tried letting an agent do everything and just prompting it, and I damn near lost my mind. I have no idea how people enjoy it. Arguing with the AI has got to be among my top 10 most infuriating experiences ever.
That aside, I can make it do amazing things when it has something good and solid to work on. I realized that I need to set the foundation of logic that governs the software myself, and then the AI has a coherent "simulated reality" it can work within in. But it takes someone who lives in reality to make such a place in cyberspace in enough detail that an AI can do its best work. For me, prompts and specs don't cut it. I also need to write the code.

I still don't get why you had 30 as a center in your example earlier though. That would be counting 29 and 31 as a pair, but I thought we stopped considering numbers exactly at 29. Maybe there's some border case thing, but I'm lazy and just asking you to explain it to me.
I don't think I'll be spending any more time thinking about this, as I think just getting what you're doing is as much as I'm gonna get out of it (past attempts to unravel any cool new thing in number theory have left me highly frustrated, and reminded that I am no whiz, and I just don't like feeling that way these days).
