I just watched it yesterday and my missus asked me to try not to think from those lenses of theoretical accuracy and enjoy a little entertainment. Thats fine by me but I found the movie shit. The cinematography and script and just general normal movie elements. I had trouble staying awake. Surprised there's not just commentary about that

Probably because it’s just butchering the main story by adding stuff from The Aeneid (like the Sinon character played by this dude who once played a chick and is now a dude again).

Nobody truly knows what's historically accurate here. Some of it definitely is. And the monsters and magic are all symbolizing chapters in the human hero's journey ... for the dissolving of the ego towards eventual homecoming.
It was written with certain characters of certain traits, but that was alterted to be more politically correct. You know the Netflix drill.

I think people are upset about the casting not being closer to what one would assume the intended looks of characters would presumably be.
It would be fair to assume most, if not all of the characters would be Greek.
Also, I don’t know if people were complaining about Mr(s). Page’s role but I imagine that some might’ve.
