I feel this way about most of the tools. You can tell how great a tech is by how much better off people are using even the worst implementation of it. Meaning even the most centralized Lightning wallet will make people better off than an equivalent fiat system. I'd argue the same for Bitcoin on an exchange vs fiat in a bank in some aspects.
